Roger Klein, interim CEO of Westlake Regional Hospital and a Spectrum Healthcare Partner, is dwarfed by the vast hall where a sparsely attended meeting was held. Klein was fielding the heat from the majority who spoke, who chastised the board for holding the meeting at 9am in the morning. Many were not as outspoken as Seventh District Magistrate Billy Rowe, who made the keynote comment, "This is ridiculous," though to make matters bipartisan, Vicky Pike, said she thinks somebody needs to go to jail.

2012-07-19 - Photo by Pen. One of the nicest ways to cook eggs is to crack them onto the top of a simmering liquid, then cover and let them slowly poach. These eggs were cooked on top of black beans spiced with cumin and curry powder, then finished with tomato and green onion and parsley.

LWC Biker sights sticker - finds shelter from storm

LWC graduate James Brown who now lives in Lexington, KY. He was riding his bicycle to work across town when a thunderstorm rolled up on him. He spotted this Bicycle Friendly sticker on the door of the YMCA and sought shelter till it passed. He snapped this photo as he waited out the lightning. A perfect example of the little idea, born from kindness in Columbia, Kentucky in action. - DAVE GRIGSBY
