and Madison Cole with a "Kids Need Kicks" collection taken up during the Pickett's Chapel "SonRise National Park" Vacation Bible School. In all, the Pickett's Chapel United Methodist Church Vacation Bible School brought in enough money to buy 39 pairs of shoes and 16 pairs of socks! -Nancy Taylor

Doyle Burton: Sky walker on Public Square

works high at the top of the Mike Harris/Firestone Building on the corner of Burkesville Street and Public Square repairing metal work at the top of the building. It's part of the renovation of the building, transforming it into the Red Brick Studio, a partnership of Mike Harris and Danny Bailey. Red Nixon is the general contractor for the project.
