Ready for the snow

2012-08-13 - 342 Gen. John Adair Drive, Columbia, KY - Photo By Ed Waggener. Director of Student Transportation kneels by the new Snow Dogg snow plow which will be affixed to a pickup truck to clear the parking areas on the Adair County School District Campus when a snow hits. Jones bought the unit on the recommendation of Adair County Roads Superintendent Jobe Darnell. In his job as head of student transportation, he said, he's thankful to be able to work with Mr. Darnell and others responsible for keeping roads safe. "I just wish that everyone knew how much I appreciate the work Jobe, Donnie and Junior do to make sure the roads are safe when our busses roll," he said. "They're the best in the state of Kentucky." He was referring, also, to Donnie Rowe, Superintendent of the City of Columbia Street Department, and Junior Brown, head of the Adair County Kentucky Highway Department Maintenance group.
