Mary's House Groundbreaking, August 16, 2012
2012-08-17 - 550 Beechtop Road, Columbia, KY - Photo by Fran Neat. Groundbreaking Ceremony for Mary’s House at 550 Beechtop Rd. took place at 6pmCT, Thursday, August 16, with approximately 50 people in attendance. This completes Phase One of the project. Chairman, Larry Neat, welcomed everyone with comments being given by various committee members. The property and Mary’s House were both blessed by Bro. Paul Patton and Bro. Troy Long as they offered prayers and thanks to the Lord for His guidance and the outpouring of community support for this project. The groundbreaking shovels were provided by Burton Ace Hardware and Jeffries Hardware.

Alumnus of Sugarfoot Farms Rescue gets high praise

Peg Schaffer of Sugarfoot Farm Rescue, says today was otherwise a tough day, but a letter from Anna Taylor about a dog she had adopted made everything okay:
"We were there today 8-16-12. You are doing a great job!! We brought Scooter home, he is a great dog. You can tell he has been loved. He is very well behaved. I believe anyone will be satisfied with one of your babies. They have been 'taken care of. You can tell. He is so loving. He didn't give our other dogs or cats a second look. He acted like he had been around them all his life. I will happily recommend your rescue to anyone needing a pet. Thank you so much for what you do and for Scooter Thank you again for what you do and for making Scooter such a loving, well behaved dog." - Anna Taylor
