New residence hall ready for fall 2012 at CU

A third building has been added this year to the Men's Residence Village.

As an added bonus, these escalators in the South Wing of the Fair and Exposition Center offered a great overhead view of the annual Ugly Lamp Competition sponsored by Lynn's Paradise Cafe.

ACMS students have first lab experiment: Reading meniscus

Students in Mr. Chris Reeder's and Ms. Denise Grant's 7th grade Science classes at Adair County Middle School experienced their first lab experiment last week. They were learning and practicing the skill of reading a meniscus in a graduated cylinder. This is the beginning of many procedures they will perform throughout the school year! Kentucky Color: Dogwood prelude to autumn and winter

The orange and red Dogwood drupes
were a sure signal to our subsistence farmer parents, grandparents, etc. that mid-august had arrived. Along with the cool evenings, morning fogs and lower humidity's the Dogwood served as a prelude to Autumn and Winter for those "Old folks" who lived more by the signs than by the clock or even the calendar. - Billy Joe Fudge
