Scenic Jessamine Co., KY: Olde Hall Church 2012-08-23 - Jessamine Co., KY - Photo by Kenny Browning, the Feedman. Located on Hall Road in Jessamine County, Kentucky near Camp Taylor. Had been headed home from Lexington on Hwy 27 and thought that maybe this county road would get close enough to the Kentucky River to have a good view of the Palisades that are along the river in this area. The road ended long before making it to the Kentucky River but came upon a part of Kentucky history that few know of. The little town of Hall was at one time a home to thousands of refugees of slavery during the Civil War . Also Rev. John Fee founded Ariel Academy, and the small church. The Rev.
