A picture of grief . . .
2014-05-03 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Melissa Stone. . . . and a sad commentary on society - This billy goat is looking across a pasture where three of his nannies lay dead after some heartless individual thought it would be sporting to shoot such docile creatures while they were housed in a pen and had nowhere to go. Not only were they the property of a man who would give the shirt off his back to anyone he thought might be in need; they were loved and cared for like pets. Each was named with care by grandchildren who adored them. It is a sad commentary on society when human beings can perpetrate such acts of senseless cruelty. - Melissa Stone Click ReadMore accesses article about effort to raise a $1,000 reward for the case.
