In a night of major highlights at the Adair County Board of Education meeting, this one captured the essence of positive change being made. Pablo Plancarte, beams as Superintendent Alan W. Reed left the podium to congratulate Pablo's mother, and, partially hidden, Adair County Gifted & Talented Director Pam Geisselhardt, after Geisellhardt told the Adair County Board of Education assembly of the outstanding record Pablo Plancarte has achieved, including a scholarship to prestigious Vanderbilt University and a second summer session at Vanderbilt for this summer, the second in the academic rising star's high school career. Geisselhardt had a special interest - she was Pablo Plancarte's first teacher when he entered Adair County Public Schools 12 years ago . . . before he had learned a word of English.
