Safewise.com used this CM photo by Pen Waggener with the listing of Columbia as the 10th safest city in Kentucky. The Safewise.com citation reads, in part:"With a reputation as the Gem of Kentucky, Columbia exudes a college town atmosphere (Lindsey Wilson College) nestled in vibrant rural surroundings including the area's picturesque lakes. For those who like to get involved in their community, Columbia offers a number of local organizations, such as the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club, Jaycees, Columbia Choral Society, Columbia Woman's Club, and many more.
