Simpson Reliford receives medal for service in Norway

On June 6, 2014, Adair County native Simpson Reliford, center with his wife, Shirley Reliford beside him, was honored with an award from the Norwegian government for his efforts in helping their country during World War II. The award was presented by three officers from the NATO Alled Command Tranformation (ACT), VA which sent three military personnel, one each from of the Norwegian Army, Navy and Air Force to present the medal.
