Floyd Burton ponders Rotary Auction Purchase

2014-06-27 - Historic Courthouse, 500 Public Square, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener.
Floyd Burton was the lucky top bidder for a drawing of a black bear by the late Nancy Cozby of the Little Cake Community. It was one of several items he picked up at the Historic Courthouse at its first pick up session Thursday afternoon. Clerks at matching bidders and purchases were Rotarians Mary Keltner and Ellen Zornes. Most of the merchandise got to the winning bidders in the two day session, which ends at 6pmCT tonight, Friday, June 27, 2014. The Columbia Rotary has given out figures on this years event, but seemed optimistic that it would be a good one when the final report is made. Funds raised through the auction go to college scholarships to Lindsey Wilson College for graduates of Adair County High School.
