ADAIR Band Camp: Not so cool as it looks.

It looks cooler than it actually was, yesterday, when the this photo was taken of the ADAIR Band summer camp; even so, the temperatures were downright pleasant compared to some past summer band camps. This photo taken Monday, July 7, 2014. The corn crop is part of the Agriculture Department's program.

New Park Benches at Jim Blair Community Park
 2014-07-08 - 901 Hudson Street, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener. New benches have been installed at Jim Blair Community Recreation Center. At the park, the colors and logos are theme to areas and ages. The blue with red letter one in the foreground is a convenient place for parents to watch over kiddies in a playground area, and has a baseball logo. The one in the distance is near the main building with the Senior Citizens Center, and is brown with the park tree logo. The benches were manufactured in Columbia by FABCO. The 2014 Adair County Fair is in Full Swing

The lights of Dixieland Amusement's Ferris Wheel and other rides dominated the attractions on the infield at the Adair County Fair on Monday night. The fair continues today, Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at 4pmCT, starting with the Floral Hall, the Mule Pule and later Go Kart Racing, the Baby Contest for 1-2 year olds, Laser Tag, Twins Contest 0-4, Parent/Child Look-alike, and the Miss Adair County Fair Pageant.
