Burkesville Street looked cooler, and the Columbia Baptist Church Parking lot much more attractive with the addition of landscaping. The "trees" are white crepe (or crape) myrtle, the same or smilar variety which dominate the Columbia/Adair County Chamber of Commerce grounds in the next block. Today, visitors to the Mark Twain Marching Band Festival will be talking about the stunning "Transformative" changes on the Adair County School Campus, a genuine sight to behold. Perhaps it's a catalyst for changes like this one, perhaps Lindsey Wilson started it all.
