Epicurean Kentuckian Recipe: Roasted Garlic and Basil Marinara

Roasted Garlic and Basil Marinara with Italian Meatballs
  • 1 pound Ground Chuck
  • 1 pound ground Italian Sausage
  • 1/2 Onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 cup Bread Crumbs
  • 1 Egg, beaten
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup grated Heavenly Homestead Parmesan Cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red Pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 box (1 pound) Spaghetti, cooked and well drained
Tucker's Station Farms Roasted Garlic and Basil Marinara Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chuck and Italian sausage, onion, garlic powder, bread crumbs, egg, salt, parmesan cheese, and red pepper flakes. Using your hands, mix all ingredients until well incorporated. Form mixture into golf ball size rounds and place in a 9x13 baking pan. Bake 20 minutes or until golden and cooked through.

Serve with pasta topped with Roasted Garlic and Basil Marinara and extra Heavenly Homestead Parmesan Cheese. - Barbara Armitage

Brown, black faced dog lost in Sparksville/Flatwoods area

This is Ellie. She's a mixed breed female, brown with a black face. She was lost on Wednesday, September 10, 2014, while we were trail riding in the Sparksville/Flatwoods area.
