It's a sure sign of fall and a wonderful harvest festival time when Dana King opens the roadside stand at her parents', Don and Lois White's, home at 6019 Russell Springs Road, Columbia, KY. This is the fifth season the family has grown pumpkins for sale, and each year the line of edible and decorative pumpkins for sale. This year, Dana King says, already, "We have pumpkins, mums, straw, Indian corn, Cushaws, corn shocks, gourds, and pie pumpkins." The roadside market is open most of the time, Dana King says, and will continue through Halloween, October 31, 2014, she said.
