At Downtown Days: Introducing . . . Trick Pony!
 2014-10-12 - Photo By Ed Waggener. Presenting Trick Pony - While the rest of the the Downtown Days crowd was listening to the featured concert, Trick Pony, Houston Hestand, , and Coley Nowlin, agreed to introduce the show for ColumbiaMagazine.com. Houston is a HS freshman. Coley is a senior at Adair County High School on a career path to join the U.S. Army after graduation. The crowd really warmed up to the performance, joining in when requested, and some took advantage of the extra wiggle room available on Square to dance in the street. A very good time was had by all. - CM

Downtown Days 2014: Smiles from Salvation Army volunteers

The Pritchards were providing informaton about the Columbia Service Unit and accepting donations for the programs provided by the local unit.

Holly Burton & Sidney Fields of the Gradyville Baptist Church were deep frying some delicacies at the food court today: Deep Fried Oreos and Deep Fried Twinkies. The first time we had seen the treats in Columbia. The photo was taken Saturday, 11 Oct 2014.

Dale Whittingham has a number of new items at today's FM2, 11 Oct 2014, which will be open later today, until 5pmCT. At 8:49amCT, crowds were beginning to grow for today's events. Downtown there's a big Food Court, the 3rd Annual Adair Genealogical Book Fair in the Historic Adair County Courthouse, 500 Public Square, and the wonderful Saturday tradition of Farmers Market on the Square. A note, there' more parking around town today, with the latest the totally resurfaced Columbia Baptist Church parking lot which stretches from 100 block of Burkesville Street to the 100 block of W Monroe Street.
