With the average number of close friends on each side of the family around 250, the potential impact on the tourist related sales is staggering. A message to the voters
from Adair County Judge Executive Ann Melton

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the people of Adair County for allowing me to serve as Judge Executive for the past eight years. Serving the community I love so much has truly been an honor and a blessing.

I am a life-long resident of Adair County, and the daughter of Dan and Peggy Waggener. I have been married to Gary Melton for 30 years, the son of Herman and Madge Melton. Gary and I have six children and twelve grandchildren.

As a candidate for County Judge Executive, I humbly ask for your consideration, and your vote in the upcoming November election.

My administrative staff and I are always working with the best interest of Adair County in mind. The staff consists of Barry Corbin, Treasurer, Gale Cowan, Finance Officer, Lisa Greer, Administrative Assistant, Patty Nall, Secretary, Alexis Jennings, Jobe Darnell, Road Supervisor, A.L. Sinclair, PRIDE Coordinator and Solid Waste Manager, Greg Thomas, Emergency Management and 911 Director, Sandy Ford, GRAS Director. I am very proud of each of these individuals for their hard work and dedication to our county. In addition to these individuals we have some of the most dedicated employees you will find anywhere.

Over the past eight years I have been successful in bringing over 7 million dollars to Adair County in additional money for projects and road improvements. We have worked closely with the Economic Development Board and the Chamber of Commerce to create additional jobs for our citizens. Although we have yet to be successful in bringing large industry to Adair County we have helped grow several businesses. We hope as the economic climate improves we will be more successful with larger industry.

Adair County is a great place to live and I especially appreciate the many friendships I have made and the kindness you have shown to me. I look forward to the campaign and visiting with you in your homes in the next month. My job is very demanding and takes a great deal of my time. If I miss visiting you in your home I ask for your consideration and vote on November 4th.

Thanks so much,

- Ann
