Adair County Historian Mike Watson sends this 1950s postcard showing the eternally beautiful Lindsey Wilson College - then Lindsey Wilson Junior College - Campus, no less beautiful than it is today - just changed, and much, much larger. The 50s included some tough years for the school, when enrollment dipped below 150 at one time.

The ADAIR Band Convoy moves out of Tutt Street

A mobile billboard seen by thousands up and down I-65 filled Burkesville Street as the equipment van for the 2014 Bands of American Class A National Champion ADAIR band moved 4 blocks of home base, the Raymond Lacy Music Building on the Adair County High School Campus. Despite the rain the welcome for the Champions was one of the most enthusiastic ever.

Welcoming 2014 BoA National Class A Champions: Fire trucks
 2014-11-17 - Downtown Columbia, KY - Photo (c) ColumbiaMagazine.com. It's really a Big Deal when the Breeding Area Fire Department sends units, AND Ladder One, entering the Square is in the parade, as they were yesterday afternoon for the Heroes Welcome for the ADAIR Band. The turnout was awesome, one that would make anyone want to live a in community like this one. Every parking space, and more, on the Square was filled, and more, with the double parking we're grateful for these days. The Police, Sheriff, and first responders led the way for the two United Coaches carrying the ADAIR BAND which followed.
