One day or less Mystery Photo: Identify his group

2014-11-28 - Adair County, KY - Photo from John Campbell.
The Quiz asked yesterday morning: *No, this is not the 'Culhanes' from the Hee Haw television program. This is a family from around 1968 in Adair County around Thanksgiving and Christmas time. Though they live in several different areas of the state of Kentucky now, they did meet at their mother's house for Thanksgiving yesterday. Do you happen to know any of these in the picture? (identification of the baby dolls are not required) - JOHN CAMPBELL.

It is no mystery at all if you happen to know the right people, or happen to be a Carter. From left: Danny Piercy, Janet Wilkerson, holding David Piercy; Richard Piercy, Shirley Campbell, and Linda Gillespie holding Nancy Cravens. These are the children of Grace Piercy and the late Avery Piercy. Grace is my father, Stanley Carter's sister. Darrell, Tammy and I shared lots of good times with our first cousins on Taylor Ford Road. Thanks for sharing the photo! - Katie Carter Campbell

*For editor's purpose: those in the photographs are from left - the children of the late Avery H. Piercy and Nina Grace Carter Piercy (still living and doing well). Danny, Janet, David (in her lap), Richard, Shirley, Linda, and Nancy. - JOHN CAMPBELL.
