The Christmas in Columbia parade, with sirens screaming, had most he attention of the crowd, but across the street, on the "Lerman's" - Russell Buiilding Wall - a silent movie was playing, continuously changing with the shadows on the wall, created by the fortuitous backlighting of the waiting spectators backlit by a Columbia Police Department prowler. It was a reminder of early outdoor cinema, when walls served a screens, a bit like the scene, in Cinema Paradisio, when the projectionist, Alfredo, turns the projector to a building in the town Square for all the townspeople to see the picture show.
