Scenic Green Co., KY: Gray day lighting like few places else

Columbia/Adair Utility District Chairman Robert Flowers presented Rudy Higginbotham wih a plaque in appreciation of Higginbotham's 16 years of service to the Adair Water District, the Adair County Water Treament Plant, and the merged Columbia/Adair Utilities Distict. On the left is General Manager Lenny Stone, Member David Jones, (Flowers/Higginbotham), Barry Stotts, and Vice Chair Tim Baker. The presentation was made at the District's regular second Thursday meeting, December 11, 2014,

Epicurean Kentuckian: Kimchi Salad

Classic kimchi is fermented, but some of the best kimchi is meant to be eaten almost immediately, like this mixture of radishes, cucumber and spinach, with green onion, fresh ginger, and cilantro. The dressing is rice wine vinegar, sugar, and salt, with a little paprika and cayenne for color and flavor.

Kentucky Afield Outdoors: Late Muzzleloader Season Opens Saturday


2014-12-11 - Photo by John Boone, Ky Afield Outdoors. The late muzzleloader deer season opens Saturday, Dec. 13 statewide. The ongoing deer season is already in the top three on record based on overall harvest numbers. Last December, hunters took almost 13,000 deer in Kentucky.

The spliced photo give an idea of how the Technology Center Building, left of splice line, and the existing Grant-Baker Agriculture Facility look as the Techology Center nears completion on 11 Dec 2014, with a newly paved parking lot and cleaning work underway in the newly constructed area.
