Scenic Casey Co., KY: View from Thomastown Cemetery
2014-12-13 - Thomastown Cemetery, Casey County, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, CM. We wondered what views there might be from the Thomastown Cemetery at the top of the hill off US 127 south of Dunnville, KY. It's a grand view my mom Geniece Marcum and I agreed today. This photo from the hilltop cemetery looks back down the hill where the cemetery lane T's with US Highway 127, the ribbon o gray crossing the photo from left, from Russell Springs, to right, heading north into Dunnville). At the foot of the hill on the left, is the expanding Neat Truck Service. Across 127 is Tarter Tubing, with that giant, marking place American flag out front. Just north of this scene is one of America's most dynamic economic stories, where home grown companies, chiefly those of the Tarter family, have created so many high paying jobs. Dunville is less than 20 miles from Columbia over the backroads through Pellyton.
