Gas price below $2.40 in Columbia, KY - 14 Dec 2014

2014-12-14 - Five Star, 802 Jamestown Street, Columbia, KY - Photo By Ed Wggener.
The Gas Price Drop has come at a welcome time for consumers and many governmental units, who are seeing significant drops in the cost of operating fleets. For most, the low prices are welcome, but offsetting it's overall effect on the county is that it's putting a hurt on the many here work on the production side. For county government, it cut fuel cost, but lower prices will likely mean much lower money from severance tax payments. And a thought: Has anybody seen gas below $2/gallon recently? Think it will happen here? In Adair County, Casey, Cumberland, Green, Metcalfe, Russell or Taylor Counties?
