Vietnam Veterans Day: Three hour long reception

2014-12-17 - Campbellsville Civic Center, 205 N Columbia Avenue, Campbellsville, KY - Photo by Larry Smith.
When I visited the Civic Center for the reception for the Vietnam Veterans, is packed, and the reliable report I have is that the reception lasted around three hours, with veterans coming and going after the parade. For my friend, former Taylor County High School Principal Donald Skaggs, we did the best we could. I didn't post the photo to ColumbiaMagazine.com earlier because I thought, at first, they might not be as good as they should have been. But after 'shocking' them, I think they'll do. Maybe others can send personal photos to add. By the way, I was really impressed by the numbers of veterans from out of town. We're already planning the event to coincide with Veterans Day next year. By the way, until a more official count is in, I'm standing by my Sunday attendance statement. - Larry Smith, Operations Manager, Shoreline Communications
