Pictured is Emilee Camfield, who holds many pageant titles throughout Kentucky, with Joann, Loddie, and Geniece. Emilee handed out gifts and candy to each one of our clients. Christmas Poinsettia

Wikipedia says, "The [poinsettia's] association with Christmas began in 16th-century Mexico, where legend tells of a girl, commonly called Pepita or Maria, who was too poor to provide a gift for the celebration of Jesus' birthday and was inspired by an angel to gather weeds from the roadside and place them in front of the church altar. Crimson blossoms sprouted from the weeds and became beautiful poinsettias."

Technology Center Equipment move-in underway

Gerald Jones, Project Manager for Alliance Corporation, Glasgow, KY, was spending his last on the Satellite Campus/Canopy constuction projects for the Adair County School District on Tuesday, December 23, 2014. The actual construction is complete except for minor punch list items. All but one piece of equipment, which is due sometime in March, is in the building, and is being installed by Barney Taylor, on the Faculty at the Satellite Campus, and others. Gerald Jones said that he could foresee no problems with tech building being ready for second semester, when school re-opens Monday, January 5, 2015.

Columbia City Attorney Marshall gave second readings for two ordinances at last night's emergency City Council Meeting, Tuesday, December 23, 2014. Both passed, one by a 4-0 voice vote, the other 3-1.

LWC leads MSC President’s Cup standings


2014-12-24 - Lindsey Wilson College, Columbia, KY - Photo from Chris Wells, LWC. Lindsey Wilson College sits atop the Mid-South Conference President's Cup standings following the fall season competition, conference officials announced on Tuesday, December 23, 2014. Lindsey Wilson athletics lead the season-long chase with 53 points after completion of the men's and women's cross country, football, men's and women's soccer and volleyball seasons. The winter edition of the MSC President's Cup standings -- which will include men's and women's basketball, men's and women's bowling, cheerleading, men's and women's swimming and wrestling -- is scheduled to be announced in early March 2015. - CHRIS WELLS, Lindsey Wilson College.
