Jim Blair Men's Basketball Champs
 2015-01-27 - Jim Blair Community Recreation Center, 901 Hudson Street, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ricky Roy, Director. Just wanted to send out a congratulations to the winners of the men's basketball league that was held at the Jim Blair Community Recreation Center, 901 Hudson Street, Columbia, KY, for the winter of 2014/2015. It was a 6 team league and ran for approximately 8 weeks. The winners went undefeated in the league and then finished off the tournament with two wins to remain and end the league undefeated. Members of the winning team are in no particular order: Logan Vanarsdale, Trey Grider, Derek Cape, Trey Scott, Cameron Murrell, Dylan Newton, and Fred Warren. - RICKY ROY, Director

Adair County Clerk & Deputies collecting Shoes for H.O.P.E.

The Adair County Clerk's office is a convenient drop off point for Shoes for H.O.P.E., along with all the Adair County School District Schools and radio station WAIN. The clerk's office is now open six days a week: Mon-Fri, 8am-4pmCT and Saturdays 8am-12pmCT, with a few exceptions in accompanying article. Helping with the Shoes for H.O.P.E drive are, From left Deputies Vicki Hodges, Becky Rodgers, Sonja Reeder, Clerk Lisa Greer, Deputies Sheila Hayes, Felicia Lasley, and Nadalie Incsho. Fatality scene LBN PKWY, near Russell-Pulaski Line 24 Jan 2015
 2015-01-26 - Louie B Nunn Parkway, Russell County, KY - Photo from the office of Russell County Sheriff Clete McAninch. The Russell County Sheriff's Office sent this photo of the overturned 2013 Chevrolet which was traveling eastbound on the Louie B Nunn Parkway when the drive lost control, left the roadway, and overturned. The driver, Jessie James Davis, 34, of Nashville, TN, was pronounced dead at the scene by Russell County Coroner Mike Reynolds. A passenger, Romaine Ross, 42, also of Nashville, TN, was airlifted from the scene to UK Medical Center. The accident occurred at around 7:30pmCT, Saturday, January 24, 2015. Dianne Wallace documents George Rice cow get away
 2015-01-26 - Egypt Road, Columbia, KY - Photo by Dianne Wallace. Dianne Wallace: The first cows emerged from the barn approximately 4:30AM. I was in dilemma whether to call George or not. I certainly regret not waking him up in time to stop the "stampede"! I did capture a few pictures without getting stepped on. I did not realize cows could move so quickly! Dianne Wallace submitted the photos after reading the accompanying George Rice story, "The Lord's Calf and the Devil." At this stage, the cows appear to be only considering the Devil's enticements.
