Brandy Lawless sends this photo of a section of Melson Ridge Road which runs along a high cliff over Crocus Creek Road. The site is near Inroad, near Melson Ridge Road's junction with KY 704/Fairplay Road, in Southern Adair County. After a friend ran off the road at another point last week, she thinks its time to protect motorists by erecting guardrails.

ACPC goes past Pennies for Patients goal of $3,000
 2015-01-29 - Adair County Primary Center, 158 Col. Casey Drive, Columbia, KY - Photo by Patty Jones, Principal. Reese Bardin is pictured with the "Goal Poster" for Adair County Primary Center's recent Pennies for Patients campaign to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The school set a goal of $3000 and topped it by raising $3,361.00 to donate to the group. This effort started for the school at Col. Wm. Casey three years ago when Blane Bardin, Reese's brother, was a first grader. Blane is a leukemia survivor and one of our own local heros. Thanks to Reese for keeping the spirit alive at ACPC now that Blane has moved on to ACES!! Eastview woman, 63, is missing

ELIZABETHTOWN, KY - The Hardin Co. Sheriff's Office is asking for help from the public in locating a missing Eastview woman who suffers from serious medical conditions. Patty Helm (63) left her residence on Meeting Creek Road, in Eastview, Hardin County, KY this morning around 10:30amET. She is believed to be operating a tan 1997 Toyota 4Runner bearing Ky. registration 842-HHL. Mrs. Helm suffers from Parkinsons, Alzheimers, dementia and cannot speak. The family believes she is wearing a red shirt with blue pants and white shoes. She is described as a white female, 5'5" tall and 180 lbs. and is dependent on a cane when walking. She has shoulder length brown hair and wears glasses. Anyone with any information is asked to call the Hardin Co. Sheriff's Office at 270-765-5133 or the Kentucky State Police at 270-766-5078.
