(Happy Ending. She's adopted) Sweet little dog available for adoption

2015-02-19 - Green River Animal Shelter, 435 Appleby Drive, Columbia, KY - Photo by Kim Sallee, Director.
No longer available. She was adopted in less than 24 hours)
This sweet tiny little girl was left at the animal shelter several days ago. She is possibly a special needs baby, but it doesn't slow her down at all. She desperately needs grooming and a family to love her. She would probably do better in a home without small children or large dogs (only because she is so small and sometimes has trouble keeping her balance) This picture doesn't do her justice. Adoption fee is $65 (spaying cost). If interested or have questions concerning her or any other wonderful dogs and cats that we have at the shelter, please call 270-385-9655, and ask for Kim.Green River Animal Shelter, 455 Appleby Drive, Columbia, KY. Phone 270-385-9655. Winter hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Fridays 10am-5pmCT. Saturdays 10am-2pmCT. - KIM SALLEE, Director

Cold Enough for Science

2015-02-19 - Shelbyville, KY - Photo by Pen. It's a good day to try out some nifty cold-weather science experiments. NPR has a great list of tricks. Here, Graham demonstrates one of them with a cup of microwaved water. When the temperature drops below 21 degrees Fahrenheit, boiling water thrown into the air will immediately vaporize.

The shop shares street space with The Outlet Shoppes of the Bluegrass, located 1.014 miles down the street at 1155 Buck Creek Road. Tom's old location, Main Street Bikes, 545 Main Street, Shelbyville, KY, at will be headquarters for a while-you-wait cell phone service center, and is next door to 6th & Main Coffee.
