Big Al Owens Visits the Buddy Holly Memorial

Big Al made a stop in Texas to see the Buddy Holly grave site. Holly was born Charles Hardin Holley on September 7, 1936, in Lubbock, TX. Buddy Holly is also the first plaque on the West Texas Walk of Fame, which reads "Buddy Holly (1936-1959) contributed to the music heritage of not only west Texas but the entire world as a musician and composer. It is significant that this first plaque on the Walk of Fame bear his name. The citizens of Lubbock pay tribute to and honor their native son."

Sweet Beagle waiting for adoption at GRAS

This sweet beagle has been at the shelter for over 2 months now. He desperately needs a family to love him. $50 adoption fee which pays for his neutering. Above, a photograph the student of government took of Governor Steve Beshear addressing Retired Teachers in the Capitol Rotunda. While there the individual said his/her conversations with the Governor and the Democrat gubernatorial candidate were good.
