Snow of 1978 featured 17 ft. snowman
2015-03-06 - Green Hills, Columbia, KY - Photo from collection of Trish Hadley Zatkoff. Found this pic from 1978 (I think) and thought you might enjoy... he was 17 feet tall and I have to say, I haven't seen a snowman that big since!! Thanks!
Trish Hadley Zatkoff The photo is from an old WWNI newspaper - The Adair County News or the Daily Statesman. The caption is self explanatory. It was, we believe, in the first year of Mayor Coy Downey and might have been for something to put in Mayor Downey's "World Record Book of Guinesses." It's the biggest snowman we ever saw. - EW
