Mike Watson: Finally, a crocus in bloom
2015-03-08 - Harrodsburg, Mercer County, KY - Photo by Mike Watson. "A valiant effort by a little Crocus blossom," Mike Watson writes, with this photo of one of nature's earliest heralds of spring. (Sun 8 Mar 2015), and so it's on to the next harbinger, Daffodils. Usually, by this time, we've had a bunch of Daffodil photos, and as far as we're concerned, we'll never reach 'critical mess' with daffodil pictures.

Photo Editorial: Thoughtless littering along Russell Creek
2015-03-08 - Adair Co., KY - Photo by Mitzi Bault. A month ago I called the EPA in Frankfort. This was taken at one of my quiet places, along Russell Creek where the old iron bridge was. When I can, I love to walk or ride down to the creek. A few months ago this is what I found. I wanted to cry, when I saw this. With the water being up this week I can only hope it was cleaned up. - MITZI

Sadie, the adoptable at Sugarfoot Farm Rescue
2015-03-08 - Sugarfoot Farm Rescue, 860 Sparksville Road, Columbia, KY - Photo by Peg Schaeffer. Sadie is a spayed female black Labrador Retriever. She is not for the meek of heart. She is a strong, high energy dog. She loves the water and loves to be active. She suffers from separation anxiety and does not like to be left alone. She loves to go for rides and will sit quietly. Actually while riding in the car or sleeping are the only times she's quiet. So if you're looking for a dog that never stops Sadie is the one for you. If interested contact Peg Schaeffer at Sugarfoot Farm Rescue 270-378-4521. Our hours are 11am to 5pmCT, and we are open everyday.
