Epicurean Kentuckian: Grilled Zucchini and Squash
2015-03-26 - Photo by Pen. The nice thing about big slices of squash and zucchini is that after they've cooked, you can pile them aside on indirect heat while you finish other items on the grill, and they'll just keep getting sweeter and more tender.

KY State highway workers out in force at Town Creek Crossing
2015-03-26 - Campbellsville Street at Fairground Street, Columbia, KY - Photo by innocent Driver-by with iPhone. The Big Ditch Town Creek Crossing Project is now just days to a few weeks away, we're told. A right of way across the Parson Heirs' property appears certain, thanks in no small part t heirs Bill & June Parson. Yesterday, at least a dozen lime clad KY Transportation Cabinet District 8 people swarmed the site. When the project is completed, the open ditch will be covered, the corner will be beautified, and a sharp turn, which created eddies and erosion, will be eliminated. The work is being coordinated to interfere as little as possible with Lindsey Wilson's spring term and Adair County Schools. Alternate routes may mean the long awaited project can start before the end school year and be ready well ahead of the start of 2015 fall semesters. - EW
