Black Puppy, new arrival Wed 25 Mar 2015 at GRAS

2015-03-27 - Green River Animal Shelter, 155 Appleby Drive, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener.
Too pretty not to post, and, after all Happiness is a Warm Puppy. This girl was one of a boxful of puppies which arrived at Green River Animal Shelter, 455 Appleby Drive, Columbia, KY, on Wednesday, March 25, 2015. Five of the puppies were jet black, the other snow white. Shelter Director Kim Sallee said on Wednesday that the puppies would be available for adoption on Thursday. It's been extremely busy at the Shelter, with adoptions, alone, at a rate should have dropped the shelter's deficit by one half - and people were having fun visiting. Thanks to CJE Michael Stephens and Magistrates Daryl Flatt and Sammy Baker, and the new manager, the grounds and the facility have shown vast improvement and, for the taxpayers of Adair County, a monumental improvement. There's a donation box, and I felt good dropping a Widow's Mite Tip in it - just a ten, but twenties are welcome and bigger bucks, too. Green River Animal Shelter at 270-385-9655 Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays 10am-5pmCT and Saturdays 10am-2pmCT. Phone 270-572-9943 after hours. We hope to learned today whether the puppies are available, if any have been adopted, and importantly, if they how have shelter names. - ED WAGGENER
