Back at WHAS
2015-04-17 - Louisville, KY - Photo from the Big Dawg 99.9. "The fun thing about my job is that I can leave town and go hang out at 840 WHAS in Louisville. It does me good to go back and revisit my past at a place where I learned so much about the industry. During my career I have worked with the best of the best and that includes Milton Metz, Fred Wiche, Van Vance and many other broadcast legends. - LARRY SMITH, Operations Manager, Shoreline Communications

In Search of Mt. Tussell
2015-04-17 - Green River Commerce Park - Photo by Ed Waggener. While in search of the existing Industrial Site, level some years ago for an ill-fated spec building which was purchased by the local industrial authority, delivered to the site with only three walls and later declared surplus - whatever happened to it, by the way - these two gentleman stopped by asked me what I was doing. I told them, and asked what they were doing there. The passenger, former Sixth District Magistrate Joe Rogers, said "We're looking for Mt. Tussell." His chauffeur, Alfred "Hootie" Corbin, who doesn't have the same reputation saving need to find Mt. Tussell as Mr. Rogers, said he was only along to help Joe Rogers farm. Mr. Rogers' Harmon spread adjoins the GRCP, and a tract of Mr. Hootie Corbin's lands adjoin the park on the other side. Mt. Tussell, for which the road is named, remains undiscovered.

Epicurean Kentuckian: Oh, do you know The Muffin Man?
2015-04-16 - 212 Public Square, Columbia, KY - Photo by CM Staff. Muffins are a specialty of the bakery at Harvest Cafe on the Square in Columbia. Each day the baker, Steve Chundy, rotates delivery routes in Columbia with muffins, pastries, and breakfast sandwiches. Many of the customers remember him as "The Muffin Man," not the one one Drury Lane, but the song does get in one's head at the sight of the muffins, or the sight of Steve on his rounds. They are good. The Cafe's baked goods change daily, but every day there is a good selection of muffins. - EK
