Scenic Taylor Co., KY: Squirrel Way, Campbellsville, KY

The name of the street is "Tiger Way," but it's "Squirrel Way" to this university resident. He was in no hurry to scurry even with a Mazda bearing down on him at dinner time Saturday, April 11, 2015. It happened in the 200 block of the street - Underwood, Tiger Way, or Squirrel Way. - CM

Cattle queue at crossing

Deputy Dogs assist with animal control

Jimmy Harmon, the Adair County Animal Control Officer, loves dogs, and keeps a few himself - 11 in all. These two, with him recently at the Green River Animal Shelter, serve as volunteer deputies. Quite often, stray dogs, interested in making new acquaintances, approach them, making a collar that much easier. They love riding with Mr. Harmon, he says.

Donate Life, Adair County Clerk Lisa Greer's car says

Adair County Court Clerk Lisa Greer now has a license plate which may be as distinctive as F. Xavier & Annice Merkely's Kentucky License Plate "1" was in the days when Adair County had the lowest number license plates in the state. This Donate Life, supporting Kentucky's Trust for Life Organ Donor effort came right out of the box. Clerk Greer like it and bought it. The Adair County Clerk's office, Adair Annex, 424 Public Square, is open 8am-4pmCT Mondays through Fridays, and on Saturdays from 8:30am-12pm noon CT.
