Sharon Burton gave opening remarks at the Thursday, April 30, 2014 Republican Gubernatorial Forum at Lindsey Wilson College tonight. All four GOP candidates in the May 19, 2015 primary, from left, Will T. Scott, Matt Bevin, (Burton), Jamie Comer, and Hal Heiner were present. After Ms. Burton - editor/publisher of the Adair County Community Voice and a co-sponsor of the event along with the Adair County Republican Party - Duane Bonifer, far right, moved to the center podium to act as moderator. A large crowd of well over 100 were in attendance.

Columbia is the center of the Kentucky Republican Party universe tonight, as candidates and interested voters pour into town for the Adair County Republican Party/Adair County Community Voice sponsored Meet & Greet and Candidate Forum gets underway at Cranmer Dining Center, 430 Helen Flatt Drive, Columbia, KY, with doors opening at 6:30pmCT, and the forum starting at 7pmCT. There is an admission charge. Other Republican candidates for the gubernatorial nomination, besides Hal Heiner, are Jamie Comer, Judge Will T. Scott, and Matt Bevin. All statewide Republican Candidates in the May 19, 2015 primary election have been invited, according to Shannon Rowe and Sharon Burton.
