Birds of Kentucky: Odd Bird. Aussies taking over Gradyville?

2015-05-06 - Gradyville, Adair County, KY - Photo by Matthew Gould.
Bird seen here in Gradyville 5/5/2015. We have looked it up and searched our bird books, the only bird that seems to match is a Diamond Dove...THEY are from Australia..seems odd. My two Australian shepherds are excited, they feel that " THEIR PEOPLE" are moving into Gradyville!!! - GINA GOULD. ID's - Duane Anderson says the bird appears to be a variation of a Rock Pigeon. Sharon Whitehurst appreciates local input, but finds that the bird above does resemble a Diamond Dove, (a native of Australia, has eyes like the bird above, and is sometimes kept as a pet - or, pets - they need company).
