Rikki Neat, Troy Warren, Eli Jackson, Ben Hancock, Lauren McQuaide, and Issac Carter all attended a special event last Thursday night, when they participated in a science meeting hosted by Dr. Jean Oosten at Lindsey Wilson College. The students were treated to a meal at the dining center and were allowed to participate in several hands on science experiments during the evening. Earlier this year, the ambitious student group known as the GRIT team was presented with a seemingly small service project. However, this project proved to be much bigger than what was expected. Mr. Brent Campbell's idea was simple: collect new or used shoes for an organization called Shoes for H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People Excel).
