Blue Ribbons at Historic Courthouse reminder of Child Abuse

Blue Ribbons in this tree and blue pinwheels around the Historic Adair County Courthouse, 500 Public Square, and at many other localities in Columbia are reminders of documented cases of child abuse in Adair County. Amy Price writes: "Lake Cumberland Children's Advocacy Center covers ten counties that include Adair, Casey, Green, Clinton, Cumberland, McCreary, Wayne, Pulaski, Taylor, and Russell County. We provide a child-friendly center for children who have been sexually and physically abused. If you would like to learn more about child abuse prevention, to volunteer, or to make a donation please call 270-343-6922. Lindsey Wilson College senior Hannah Hayduk of Kutztown, PA, left, returned to campus Tuesday afternoon to participate in the college's Honors Convocation in Biggers Sports Center. Hayduk, who was injured in a March 22, 2015, cycling accident in northeast Adair County, has spent almost a month recovering in a Louisville, KY, hospital. At center is LWC President William T.
