Bonner Scholars program seniors honored

Senior members of the Lindsey Wilson College Bonner Scholars Program were recognized at the college's Honors Convocation Tuesday afternoon at Biggers Sports Center. Collectively, the Bonner Scholars seniors completed almost 31,700 hours of service, and 11 AmeriCorps terms at 29 partner sites. The value of their volunteer time was estimated to be $229,825. Mrs. Candice Flatt's 3rd Graders celebrate Earth Day

Mrs. Flatt's Third Grade Class at ACES is celebrating Earth Day with G. R. I. T. (Goal Driven Resilient Influential Teen) Member, Susan Spinks. They are learning how to make mats for the homeless out of recycled plastic bags. This goes along with a week long unit they have been doing in reading about recycling and helping those in need. The students are Serenity Singleton, Andrew Godsey, Jacob Fugate, Sarai Collins, and Matt McGuffin. - CANDICE FLATT
