Community Invitation to KRACCF book launch

Kayla Garrison, of Kayla's Rising Above Childhood Cancer Fund will be hosting the "Be the Change" book launch and fundraising event Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 4pmCT, drawing inspiration from the quote "Be the Change you wish to see in the world"
Kayla wishes to be the change in childhood cancer. This event will be held at the Lindsey Wilson College Cramner Dining Center and will include the first available purchase of Kayla's new book, door prizes, music, guest speaker Max Wise, and lots of fun for a worthy cause!

Left rear wheel comes off Adair County School Bus
 2015-05-11 - Burkesville Road/KY 61, Columbia, KY - Photo submitted by Pamela Bailey. Pamela Bailey sent this photo of the Adair County School Bus which lost two tires on KY 61 S this morning, and was concerned that she did not receive word of the incident until after her son reached the Adair County District campus and accessed the campus wi-fi be able to send her a message and let her know about the incident. She has praise for a hero, the bus driver Johnny, who guided the bus safely off the road; but wants the district to provide quicker information to parents when events such as this one occur. None of the children were injured and they were all transferred to another bus and arrived at school without further incident. The bus is being taken out of service until the source of the problem is ascertained, Superintendent Alan Reed said in a statement today.

Older tan and white female chihuahua, very sweet and friendly. She appears to have been someone's lap dog and used to living indoors. Please call 270-469-4090 if this is your dog or you know who she belongs to. We have reason to believe she may have been abandoned but hoping she's just lost. - - Julene Allen
