Is there a myologist in the house? (Dog Stinkhorn)

2015-05-24 - Kentucky - Photo by Mike Watson.
This is a photo of a type of mushroom that grew overnight in recently spread mulch. It is about two inches tall, carrot-orange in color with dark green-brown tip. There were two, but cats have broken off one, so it is easy to see the stem is hollow. - MIKE WATSON

Metcalfe Co. Circuit Court live for attorneys to e-file cases

2015-05-24 - Frankfort, KY - Photo from Kentucky News Center. The map isn't yet updated, but Metcalfe County is now one of 11 new counties added May 20, 2015, to the list where attorneys with court cases in 11 more Kentucky counties may now file them without making a trip to a courthouse. The Administrative Office of the Courts began offering electronic case filing May 20, 2015, in Allen, Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Hancock, Logan, Metcalfe, Ohio, Simpson, Todd and Warren counties. Since the map is out of date, we're not yet sure whether any of the other CM 7-County area counties - Adair, Casey, Cumberland, Green, Metcalfe, Russell and Taylor - are already among the total 72 of Kentucky's 120 counties where e-filing is available. - CM
