Warehouse on Waterworks Street, not scheduled for demolitiion
2015-05-27 - Waterworks Street, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener. There have been questions about the extent of the demolition of the old Columbia Utilities Water Plant, most specifically about the fate of this old cinder block building at the Fairground Street Side of the plant campus. Although the sign is affixed to the building, CAUD Office Manager Jennifer Carter said that the building is not part of the demolition project, now underway by Pyles Excavating, Columbia, KY. The demolition will not be done in time for the Paddle Trail Initiative on Saturday, 30 May 2015; the launch for that event will be at the Columbia Wastewater Facility accessed to the west of the Russell Creek Bridge on Campbellsville Street.
