Early Paddlers at launch on Russell Creek
 2015-05-30 - Russell Creek, Columbia, KY - Photo By Adair County Deputy Judge Executive Holly Grimsley. Early paddlers enter Russell Creek at the ad hoc launch site by the Adair County Waste Water Plant near the Columbia Russell Creek Bridge on Campbellsville Street. Soon a permanent Paddle Trail launch site will be complete on Waterworks Street in Columbia, at a to be named Water Park. It awaits demolition completion, now in progress by local contractor Pyles Excavating. Community leaders are optimistic about the economic development impact the park will provide. - CM

Catalpa Worms

The catalpa worms can have their leaves and eat them too. Fishermen can have the world's best bait, and after the catalpa worms finish their salads, the trees regenerate the leaves. It's a multiple win situation.
