KY Afield Outdoors: Young wildlife best left undisturbed

2015-06-04 - Frankfort, KY - Photo by Lee McClellan. This is the time of year where people often encounter young wildlife, such as deer fawns. The best thing to do is to leave them alone. "Momma didn't abandon them," says Gabe Jenkins. "She placed them there. She knows where they're at, or is very close, and she will come back."

Theophilus - Ted -His growl is only put on available at GRAS

2015-06-04 - Green River Animal Shelter, 455 Appleby Drive, Columbia, KY - Photo by Kim Sallee, Director, Green River Animal Shelter.
Theophilus, is not really Ted the Terrible, he's just emoting for the camera. He really should be called "Ted the Laid Back." He's really cool, loves to hang out, he has never gone to the bathroom in footwear, and is wont to sleep under the hood of your car. And he's as computer savvy as any cat we've had enter these halls. He needs country fare, demands health care from a responsible vet, and we believe he'd get along with the other animals pretty well, remembering after all, that he's a cat, he'd probably make your paradise a little bit more heavenly than it is already. If Interested please contact Green River Animal Shelter at 270-385-9655 Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays 10am-5pmCT and Saturdays 10am-2pmCT. Phone 270-572-9943 after hours. Thanks, KIM SALLEE Director.
