Refugio County, according to Wikipedia, is over twice the size of Adair land area, and has less than half the population, 7,306, closer to the population of Cumberland County, KY, and, just as Cumberland County includes a Dale Hollow shoreline, Refugio County is on the Gulf Coast. Just after seeing a photo on Larry Irvin's cellphone of an intact little bear he had run over with his mower on a bottom on Sulphur Creek, and desperately trying to get a copy it, I stepped outside to see that Danny Downey of Downey's Gun & Pawn Shop and Downey's ATV & Cycles had recognized the importance of Bears to the Adair County tourism experience sometime ago.
