Alliance Corporation awarded contract for Build Ready Site

2015-06-17 - 201 Burkesville Street, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener.
The Columbia/Adair County Economic Development Authority awarded a contract for a $12,000 for work for the Build Ready Site in Green River Commerce Park to the Alliance Corporation of Glasgow. Above, from left, Alliance Founder and CEO Thomas Gumm, Alliance Senior Planner/Designer Kyle Boston, and at right Jim DeCasare, Alliance Business Development & Public Relations Director, listen to questions from CACEDA Chairman Mark Dykes at CACEDA's regular meeting, Tuesday, June 16, 2015. In the contract, Alliance will provide preliminary building design, construction plan, cost and schedule projections for building, and a 3-D Virtual Building Video. If the the actual building project is done by Alliance Corporation, the company will waive $6,000, charging only the $6,000 to be paid up front. Chairman Dykes noted that DeCasare is a Kentucky State Representative, which he said, should be a help in Frankfort. Holly Grimsley, Deputy Adair County CJE, seen in a reflection, urged the acceptance of the proposal, as did County Judge Executive Mike Stephens. The vote was unanimous. Board Member present and voting were Randy Burns, Tony Corbin, Anthony Janes, Mike Curry, and Chairman Dykes. CACEDA has already hired Jeff Arnold of Bowling Green to do a site plat, provide a master site plan, design a building paid certification by licensed engineer, provide aerial Site imagery, and do environmental studies - Phase 1, Geotechnical studies, and Archeological and historical site assessment. - EW
