Green River Animal Shelter has brighter look

2015-07-20 - Green River Animal Shelter, 455 Appleby Drive, Columbia, KY - Photo by CM staff.
Green River Animal Shelter is rapidly improving it in appearance. This is a view across the freshly mown - for Saturday, July 18, 2015 - campus. Improvements underway include newly painted interior walls, and the shelter's floors are being prepared for a new finish, as well. The guardrails behind the building are on the Adair County Veterans Memorial Bypass. The shelter is having increasing adoptions. Saturday was a busy day, with three or four adoptions. Contact: Green River Animal Shelter at 270-385-9655 Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays 10am-5pmCT and Saturdays 10am-2pmCT. Phone 270-572-9943 after hours. Thanks, Kim Sallee--Director. Cool Road intersects with Appleby Drive

2015-07-20 - Appleby Drive, Columbia, KY - Photo CM Staff Photo.
You're familiar with this cool looking intersection
if you have occasion to visit the Adair County Youth Development Center or the Green River Animal Shelter, both to the left. GRAS now has road markers with a dog & cat outline welcoming visitings and marking the way to the center. The cool looking road on the right through short tree tunnel is "almost" a frontage road. On a few yards separate it from L.C. Willis Road, which joins KY 61 South at the one time Jumping Off Place immediately south of the LBN interchange.
