Travel: Wilkes T. Thrasher Bridge over Chickamauga Lake

When you just don't have time to sit and take in the scenery on I-75 northbound, Highway 153 provides a beautiful shortcut out of Chattanooga to get to the much more efficient Hwy 127. The route is not only quite a few miles shorter to Columbia, but seems to be allowing a much higher average speed lately, despite the scenic twists and turns around Static, KY.
