Ronnie and Riley across the road from old BHS
2015-11-21 - Breeding, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener. It's natural for folks to go across the street to the home of Ronnie and Connie Williams and ask questions about the Breeding High School ruins. Ronnie keeps an eye out on the property and keeps it mowed. In the photo with Ronnie Williams is their grandson, Riley, the eight-year-old son of their daughter Rhonda and Rodney Redmon. Breeding High School is owned by Mrs. Hannie Gibson's son, F.C. Gibson, who lives in Chicago. The school closed in the early 60s but still draws passers by to stop by.

Hello Perkins cousins all around
2015-11-20 - O.K. Country Cooking, Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener. Phillip and Virginia Perkins are visiting in the heart of cousins territory for the Thanksgiving holiday. He said he was born in Knifley and has cousins all over this area, "If I throw a rock I'm gonna hit one." They will spend the holiday with the daughter of his brother Dewey, Sandy Scott, and her family in Breeding. That will be where cousins from Oregon, Texas, New Mexico -- all directions -- will wind up for a holiday reunion. They traveled from their home in Steward, IL. Virginia said they expect to return to a lot of snow after the holiday. They wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving! - LW
